1. Automated & Application-to-Person (A2P) SMS Privacy Policy
South Bay Learning Centers LLC, doing business as Sylvan Learning of Huntington Beach, is committed to maintaining the trust and privacy of our enrolled families and prospective clients. This SMS Privacy Policy governs the collection, use, and protection of mobile numbers utilized for transactional and operational text messaging.
Information Sharing Limitation: Mobile information and consent collected for text messaging purposes will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes under any circumstances.
Opt-In Exclusivity: All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information is strictly confidential and will not be shared, rented, or sold to any third parties or external entities.
Franchisor Reporting: Sylvan Learning of Huntington Beach shares standard student operational and academic data with our franchisor, Sylvan Learning, LLC, solely for operational, administrative, and internal system management purposes as strictly mandated by our franchise agreement. This operational data flow entirely excludes text messaging originator opt-in consent.
2. SMS Terms of Service & Communication Flow
Text messaging from our dedicated platform is reserved strictly for operational updates, student assessment notifications, enrollment conference coordination, scheduling reminders, and billing/tuition links via authorized payment processors.
Program Description: Users can expect to receive administrative updates regarding scheduled tutoring sessions, student progress alerts, and secure digital payment links.
Consent and Opt-In: Mobile text communications are initiated only after a parent or legal guardian has provided explicit consent. Consent is captured either via our physical, paper-based center enrollment forms or when a consumer explicitly initiates a mobile conversation by texting a designated keyword to our center phone line.
Opt-Out (To Stop Messages): You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Just text STOP to our communication line. After you send the SMS message STOP to us, we will send you an SMS message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed. After this, you will no longer receive SMS messages from us.

Frequency & Rates: Message frequency varies based on student scheduling and enrollment status. Standard message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you. If you have any questions about your text plan or data plan, it is best to contact your wireless provider.
3. Appendix: Standard Center Enrollment & Attendance Policies
This communication portal is an administrative extension of the physical Huntington Beach facility. All standard center operational guidelines apply.
Session Cancellations: To avoid being charged for a scheduled tutoring hour, notice of absence must be communicated to the center administration at least twenty-four (24) hours in advance. Notice may be given via a direct call or text message.
Authorized Pick-up: For student safety, a child will only be released to individuals explicitly designated on the physical center enrollment paperwork. Any emergency changes must be verified via a direct, confirmed communication line with center management.
